Hi! I am Saloni Chopra, a PhD candidate in Agricultural & Resource Economics department at University of California, Davis. I am on the academic job market 2024-2025.

I am an applied micro-economist, whose research spans development economics, education, labor markets, and gender economics. My research employs empirical methods to examine pressing social and economic questions in these fields. Currently, I am investigating the multifaceted impacts of affirmative action policies in higher education, with particular focus on how these initiatives affect institutional access, gender diversity, and subsequent outcomes in both education and labor markets.
